Robert “Jazz”idlo Gasidlo is a professional jazz pianist who has been performing for over 40 years. He is an award-winning graduate of the respected Humber College Jazz Music Program Toronto, 1982 and has performed extensively in the local Georgian Bay Triangle, all across Canada, and internationally on cruise ships. Robert has recorded and performed with numerous bands ranging from solo piano to big band swing.

Local performances include Jazz at the Station (Collingwood), Jazz in the Park (Wasaga Beach), Jazz in the Park (Thornbury), Jazzmania (Thornbury), The Canadian Big Band Celebration (Southampton), Bridges (formerly Fitzgeralds and formerly Carriages, Thornbury), The Huron Club (Collingwood), The Historic Gayety Theatre (Collingwood), the Historic Roxy Theatre (Owen Sound), The Avalon Jazz Lounge (formerly Tuscany’s and formerly Chaise Lounge, Owen Sound, where he hosted Saturday Night Jazz and brought in weekly special guests), Summerfolk (Owen Sound), Canada Day Celebrations (Owen Sound), Cobble Beach Golf Resort (Georgian Bay), Santini’s Ristorante (Collingwood), and numerous private and corporate functions. He has also performed across Canada with various bands including CBC TV celebrities and A&M recording artists “The Raes”, and the rock band “Impulse”.

Jazz Piano
Rob now loves to perform intimate and introspective solo jazz piano in the spirit of the Bill Evans/Tony Bennett and was recently house jazz pianist performing every Friday night at Santini’s Ristorante, Collingwood. Prior to Santini’s he was house pianist at the prestigious Cobble Beach Golf Resort. Rob’s repertoire can also “turn up the heat” with some “swinging” upbeat jazz or latin and even some Charlie Brown Piano at Christmas time.
